The Curse of Acne Lives On - But Even in Our 30s?

Okay, so I'm in my mid-thirties (and have been for nearly a decade.) And from time to time I get a zit on my nose so big that it shoots me right back to the horrors of 10th grade. What gives? Should I be happy that I'm still getting zits? After all, my grandma never got zits!
Is it my youth inside still putting up a fight? (I would like to think so!) Whatever it is, I'm not sure I want to be stuck in adolescent time machine and would rather say good-bye to braces, head-gear, and teenage acne breakouts.
So what's the story? In turns out that my acne could be what I'm eating.
A new study by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition may have the answer. Ingesting significant quantities of high-glycemic-index carbs - yes, like pasta and bagels - can reduce acne.
A significant reduction in great treats like spaghetti and Cinnamon Raisin Bagels will also reduce painful memories and acne once enjoyed in high school.
The study followed two groups of carb eaters - one group at hi GI-carbs and the other complex carbs (such as fruit and whole wheat bread) for 12 weeks. The Complex Carb team had 20% fewer acne zits to pop in the mirror.
Saying Goodbye to Extra Pounds and Pimply Mornings!
So, is the secret to great skin diet? That makes sense. Most doctors and health care professionals agree that what whatever you eat has a dramatic affect on you skin. Would decreasing high calorie breads and high GI-carbs better reduce the outbreaks? It's worth a try. The worst that could happen is that I would lose weight if I cut the absorbtion of carbs out of my diet.
