Acne is a common skin problem experienced by almost everyone during his or her teenage years. However, those with oily skin tend to have acne past their teenage years up to adulthood. Acne is common in teenagers because of the raging hormones of the body, especially the male sex hormones. These hormones are present in both genders but are in higher amounts in men than in women. Acne is characterized by the appearance of comedones called blackheads and whiteheads and of pustules or pimples. Acne can cause psychological problems to a person such as insecurity, lowered self-confidence and self-esteem and depression. This is very crucial since acne commonly occurs during teenage years, the time when most people become conscious of their appearance.
Blackheads are the most common type of comedone. They are actually sebum that blocked the pore opening. The black "head" is the head of the sebum that is visible on the skin surface and they turn black due to their exposure to the environment. These are not really dirt that enters the pore and blocks it, contrary to the belief of most people. There are a lot of products and techniques that can remove blackheads. A blackhead remover tool is one product that can remove blackheads. However, this can only create a temporary solution as they only remove the blackheads present on the face and do not guarantee that the blackheads will never come back again. To permanently stop blackheads from developing, one should seek to treat the root cause of it.
There are numerous blackhead remover tools and knowing which one to use is very important. These tools have different effects on every person. A specific tool may effectively remove the blackheads of some people but may not be effective on others. Additionally, a disadvantage of a blackhead remover tool is that it can damage the skin. Some tools have pointed tips to extract blackheads out. This can create lesions on the skin and damage the pore. They can also be painful and risk the person on acquiring infection if the blackhead remover tool is improperly used. Thus, they can be more problematic than the blackhead itself.
