Many folks have different opinions about acne being related to a persons diet or the concept of "clear skin diet cheats".
Over the years, we've all heard various opinions about chocolate or "sweets" contributing to the problem of acne. Some would agree, some won't - but, it's becoming more logical that a persons diet is most likely a huge factor in skin problems.
It just makes sense.
It seems to be pretty easy to understand that what we put in our bodies will have an impact on a number of things like our mood, our energy levels, our sleep and a number of other things.
Seems safe to say that it could have an effect on a persons skin too, right?
So, doesn't it stand to reason that we could come up with some simple clear skin diet cheats - or should we say, common sense ideas and solutions that could help quite easily.
Many folks today believe that glucose (simple sugar) can cause pimples or acne on various parts of the body. There seems to be a link between the problem and the glycemic index of persons dieting habits. The Glycemic Index (simply speaking) is the body's gauge and pace of the amount of sugar increase in the body as related to the foods you consume on a day to day basis.
A high glycemic index translates into high blood sugar and translates into an increase in insulin and other hormones in the body.
It's been said that high levels of these hormones increase the production of something called "sebum". Sebum could be described as a greasy-like substance that could cause clogs pores, pimples, or you guessed it... acne problems.
There have been comparisons of people who ate low glycemic foods and others who just ate the "standard" diet high in carbs. The people with the low glycemic diet showed positive changes in their complexion. This would sure make you wonder about the concept of diet and complexion, wouldn't it? So, why not come up with a way to cheat the body from causing skin problems. This is where the idea of clear skin diet cheats makes so much sense and the good news is that it isn't that difficult to do!
First of all, it would appear that a person with acne problems would be well served to minimize sugar in their diet. This doesn't mean sugar as we think of it (as in the white tasty stuff).
It's important to recognize other foods that the body breaks down and converts to sugar. These include:
1) Starches
2) Potatoes
3) White Breads
4) Pasta
5) Several processed foods
Don't be fooled into thinking you're cutting back on sugar intake by just avoiding candy or sweet junk foods. Remember what we said about white bread. The best "healthy" intention of a sandwich on white bread translates into high sugars once broken down by the body. Ditto with pasta, etc...
It would sound as if a person can't eat anything good or tasty. This couldn't be further from the truth. All it takes is shift in the way you think. Simply replacing just a couple snacks or meals with a healthy alternative goes a long way and it's quite easy to do! It's easy to cheat your body of the bad things that cause problems and instead, replace it with some good things.
Give it a try for just a couple weeks. You may just find that clear skin diet cheats are the most sensible things you'll ever do for acne - and as a bonus, you'll start feeling healthier as well!
